CPA With Facebook

Fast CPA Method #1
Building and monetizing fan pages
In this report you will learn a simple, fast-to-implement method that will allow you to start promoting CPA offers with just a small investment.
The CPA model is growing exponentially and it now represents a huge opportunity for online entrepreneurs who are looking to build a long-term, sustainable business.
If you have been struggling to build an income on the internet and have gone through countless courses during the last months, "reset" your mind and make this report your new starting point.
The method you are about to learn combines the simplicity and the huge potential of CPA and can help you earn your first commissions in a matter of days. All you have to do is take action and stay focused.
I don't want to make this introduction too long, so let's go to the money making chapters!
The plan
This method is based on building and monetizing fan pages.
Facebook is huge and when used properly it has the potential to generate loads of viral targeted traffic, which you can turn into generous commissions by using the right strategies and promoting the right offers.
This report will show you how to build fan pages for addicted online gamers and send laser targeted traffic to your offers with just a small investment (not the traditional advertising).
This is a great method for people getting started with CPA because it's simple, cheap and can produce results in a short period of time.
Basically, the idea of the method is to use viral actions not just to grow the number of fans of your fan page, but to get people engaged and make them curious to test other games, which you're promoting as an affiliate and getting paid per registration.
The viral action that we will use will be interactive polls created with a cheap and highly effective app, Woobox.
People will vote on the poll and after that we will get them to complete the offers to test and play new games.
All the process will be clear after you go through the next chapters, so all you have to know now is that you will be creating interactive polls that will go viral and will bring new fans to your page as well as generate conversions for your offers.
Choosing Offers
The best offers to use with this method are gaming offers that convert upon a free registration.
Some offers require a download or a certain login count to convert, but you should look for the ones that convert upon 1st or 2nd page submit. Some DOI offers (the ones that require email confirmation) can be ok as well as long as the payout is good.
A good payout for a SOI (no email confirmation) offer is usually $1+, while for DOI offers the best is to aim for $1.75+.
All the offers that you run should allow US traffic, but offers that also allow UK, AU and CA traffic are even better.
Here are a few examples of offers that you should use for this method:
One important thing that you can't forget about is that you should always check if the offer allows contextual or social traffic. When in doubt, always contact your affiliate manager to find out if your method is ok to promote the offer.
You can also say that you will be sending paid Facebook traffic to polls and then that after people vote on the poll you will promote the offer.
Usually, affiliate managers and advertisers prefer paid traffic, so even if you won't be using only paid traffic, you can still mention this to get approved for the offer more easily.
Research
Before setting up the fan page and going through the process below, I suggest you to make some research about online games (unless you're a gamer yourself).
Just use Google, blogs, forums, fan pages, etc to find out which are the most popular online games at the moment. You can also use Google Trends to see if the interest in a particular gaming is growing.
Choose 2 or 3 games that seem to have a huge audience and are growing. You will use those games to set up the money making polls.
Don't over think or overcomplicate this part of the process, it's a simple and fast research that you can do in few minutes, and all you need is the name of the games.
Creating Fan Pages
Go to https://www.facebook.com/pages and click on "Create Page" on the top right.
You will be asked to choose a category. This isn't really important, but you can go with "Brand or Product" and then "Video Game".
Choose a general name related to gaming (not related to a specific game) such as "Gamers Empire" or "Online Arena".
Supply a description (just say something about the fan page being a place for gamers to receive updates and discuss relevant topics), choose a URL, etc.
You will also have to use a picture and later a cover. You can get pictures from Google Images (just search for keywords like "warrior artwork", "sci-fi artwork", etc) or, if you're not comfortable doing it (you probably won't get into troubles, since I have never seen it happening with anyone in these circumstances), you can buy images on stock image sites such as www.istockphoto.com.
Once the process is complete, move on to the next chapter.
Content & Fans
You will need some content and fans to get started.
The content is very simple, since it's just copy and paste. Go to blogs, forums and other fan pages related to games and copy the content (you can put the source if you want).
Make sure that your contents always have good, eye-catching images. You can use an image, an intro and then just put a link to the blog/forum post.
Make 15+ posts before going to the next step. It shouldn't take more than just a few minutes.
Once you're done with the posts (you should still add 2 - 5 new posts per week regularly), you have to get the initial fans. I suggest you to get at least 50 fans, which is very simple.
You can buy the likes from Facebook itself, which is better and safer than buying from someone on Fiverr or another similar marketplace.
In order to do it, you can go to http://facebook.com/advertising and set up a new campaign or simply click on the "Promote page" button that Facebook will show you when you log in with the fan page.
See the screenshot below:
After clicking on that button, a light-box will show up with some options.
You can just choose the country (US), add some famous games as interests (warcraft, age of empires, skyrim, etc), choose 18 - 30 for the age range, put male for the gender and choose a daily budget (usually $10 - $15) and finish the process by choosing an end date, which should be tomorrow.
If you want to create a more elaborated ad, you can click on the gear on the bottom left of the page and choose "Advanced Options".
Then, you will be able to customize the image and ad copy. It's not really necessary now, but you can do it if you have time.
Run the ad just until you get 50+ fans and then your page will be ready to go.
Creating Polls
Once your fan page is ready, it's time for you to set up the first poll.
In order to do that, you will need a Facebook app that allows you to create tabs with polls on your fan page.
There are a few options out there, but, in my opinion, the best choice is Woobox: http://www.woobox.com
The first thing you have to do is choose a plan. There is a small investment here, but it will be totally worth it.
If your fan page has less than 100 fans you can start with the $1 trial, but that's not going to last long, since you will cross the 100 fans line pretty quickly.
The best plan for you to get is "Unlimited Pages - Up to 20K fans" at $49/month.
However, if you want to save some money initially, start with $29/month with the plan for 20K fans and one page.
After buying, go to "Log in" and log in using your Facebook account (you must be logged in on Facebook with the account that has the fan page).
Choose the fan page that you want to create a poll for on the top left (in case you have more fan pages under the same account).
After selecting the right fan page, click on "Promotions" on the top menu and then choose "Poll".
You should see this screen:
Fill out the form with the information of your poll.
Enable "Automatically post Opengraph Vote action to user's Facebook timeline", choose an end date that's at least 15 days ahead (you may go with more, maybe 30) and enable the "Fan Gate" option, which will force people to like your page before voting.
Later, you will be given the option to customize the fan gate. Do it and just say something like "Like our page to vote for the best game of 2014".
If you can use an image here (hire someone to create it for you at Fiverr) it's even better, but it's not mandatory.
The next screen will be the "Vote Choices". Use 3 - 5 options. Two of them should be very popular online games and the other(s) should be the offer(s) you're promoting (the name of the games you're promoting).
Put the options and click on preview.
You will see that the poll doesn't look good yet, so click on "Customize" to add an image.
The process to find a cool image here is the same that you used to find images for the pic and cover of your fan page.
I suggest you also to add buttons as well as an image for the post entry page and fan gate.
It's on the post entry page that the magic happens. Besides adding the image, you're also allowed to enter HTML.
On that page, you should say something like "Thanks for voting! If you're not familiar with one or more games of the contest, just click on the link below and start playing!".
Below that, insert the links to the games. List the games you're promoting first and put your affiliate links as the destination URL (use hyperlinks, never insert the URL directly). After the affiliate offers put the other 2 games with links to their sites.
Done!
Your poll is set up and ready to receive some traffic.

Driving Traffic
The goal of this method is to get viral traffic, but nowadays it's not that easy on Facebook, since just a small percentage of your fans will see your posts.
A post only gets exposure after many people like it... which isn't possible if it doesn't have exposure...
(Now you see why Zuck makes a dollar or 2 a day, huh?)
So, what you have to do is boost your post with a small investment, gain exposure and then enjoy the "organic" exposure and traffic.
I suggest you to make a post challenging people to vote on the poll, just use a very eye-catching image (the artworks can be a good option again) and say something like "What's the best online game ever? - Show that you're a real fan, support your favorite game by voting on the poll!". Include a link to the poll and then promote the post.
In order to promote the post you can click on the boost button.
Select "People you choose through targeting" and specify the demographics. I recommend you to target males between 15 and 25 who live in the US (unless you're promoting offers for other countries) and have interests related to games (ideally games on the poll, but not the ones you're promoting, the popular games you're also including on the poll).
After that, you have to determine the budget. I suggest you to invest $25 - $50 initially. Then, choose a duration of 3 to 5 days.
This boost will bring likes, votes and, most importantly, exposure to your post.
Once completed this process, you should start seeing some organic exposure to your post, which will make you money (if the poll and offers are good!).

Continuous promotions
Don't limit your promotions to the poll only. Make posts on a regular basis and, eventually, make a post promoting a game. Then, boost it and promote it to your fans. It's cheap and can also give you a lot of organic exposure.
But be careful with the offers you choose, the advertiser has to accept Facebook traffic (not just paid traffic) and they have to be compliant with Facebook's terms.
If you use this strategy to build fan pages with a few thousand fans and continue to grow them with polls, you will rapidly build a nice stream of income.
This isn't a method with a huge potential, but it can put some easy cash in your pocket, which you can use to invest on methods with more potential.
Now, take action, implement the method and earn your first commissions!

Complete CPA Campaign Optimization Guide

Optimization is the process of turning campaigns from non-profitable ones into profitable ones. This is done by testing all the elements of the campaigns and eliminating the non-performing ones. It’s the most important part of creating profitable campaigns. There is no shortcut and no way around it.

Literally, ALL your campaigns are test campaigns until one of them become profitable through the optimization process.

Rarely very few campaigns are profitable right off the bat but you can’t count on them. But what you can COUNT ON is to create profitable campaigns through proper optimization. But this can be a hell lot of work, considering the huge number of elements to test and optimize off. It can be very time consuming and money sucking process, specially for traffic sources which have huge volume of traffic and several elements for optimization.

That’s where most marketers fails:( and return empty handed or at a loss. Hope you don’t want to be one of them.

Follow these “3 MAGIC RULES” of optimization:-

  1. Traffic Source Level Optimization
  2. Campaign Level Optimization
  3. Angle , banner(AD) and landing page level optimization
Now let’s elaborate for level of optimization.

1. Traffic Source Level Optimization - Every traffic sources provide dynamic variable sources like siteid, adzones, category, ad/banner name etc. The first step is to cut out non-performing or low-performing variables as soon as possible at the initial stage of the campaign once you have the data. If you are not doing it then you are losing a lot of money to gather data for non-performing variables.

For example: - When I am running a RON campaign, I would cut out sites which don’t convert. Generally I will cut out a site when money spent on them is equivalent to 1x or 2x of offer payout depending on my offer conversion ratio and EPC. Then I would cut out low performing ad with low CTR and so on.

The most important thing to do is this: execute while you are learning.

2. Campaign Level Optimization – This optimization is done through the tracker. Once enough data is gathered and traffic level optimization is done then the next step should always be to cut out the landers and offer page url(maximum time every offers have multiple variations of offers page or if you are split testing same offer from multiple networks) which is performing low.

Campaign Level Optimization Hierarchy Structure TO Follow:-

While doing campaign level optimization, metrics to look out for and considered while optimization are:-

  • CTR of landing page
  • CR (Conversion Ratio)
  • CV (Conversion per view)
  • CPV vs EPV (Cost Per View vs Earnings per view)
  • EPC (Earnings per click)
  • CV & EPV comparison of landers
3. Angle , banner(AD) and landing page level optimization – The is the last part of optimization and tweaking the campaign and by now, the campaign should be green else, revise step 1 and step 2.

The main elements needed to be tested and optimized are:

  • The angles (hooks) of your campaign message (very very important)
  • AD/banner :- Headline, Body message, CTA
  • Landing Page: - Design (color, layout etc.) , Healine/subheadlines, images(if any used), Body copy, CTA.

Optimization is a lengthy process, very time consuming and money sucking it. If you can master it, then you can make any campaign profitable (* conditions applied as it is directly linked to offer conversion rate).

Example: - How I am optimizing a campaign (Live campaign)
Day 1
[IMG]

I had some data and that’s enough for me to complete step 1. I went ahead on my traffic source and cut out non-performing and low-performing sites and adzones. Paused low CTR ads. Then I tried to complete step 2(initial stage) and cut out some extremely poor performing offer pages.

Day 5 (After Optimization)

As you can see, after step 1 and step 2 optimization I am able to increase my ROI to +22.75% from -30.97% for lander 1 and from +13.78% to +50.86% for lander 2. I have lot more optimization to do. As it's day 5 only and I am expecting to increase my ROI to 80-120% when I am done finishing my complete optimization.

Lander 2 Statistics Breakdown:-

This image is just to show how much more room of optimization is there. When all the steps and points of optimization are followed mentioned in this guide then the ROI can go above 100% or even more than that. Only data can tell that.

Note:- This is a live campaign, so it’s my request that please don’t ask anything about my campaign like vertical, affiliate network, offer name, traffic source. I am just sharing my statistics as example.

Hope you guys have enjoyed reading it.:)

Why You Should Build A YouTube Channel (And How To Do It)

In this guide I will show you why YouTube is something that I've been getting really into lately and marketing on YouTube is actually very similar to SEO. In fact the basics of getting your videos to rank are almost the same as with SEO.

To get your videos ranking in YouTube you just need to:

1) Put time into making good videos that people will actually watch, enjoy and re-share elsewhere.

2) Make sure that your videos target keywords that get searched for and include those keywords in your video titles, descriptions and tags.

3) Build backlinks to your videos.

4) Promote your videos on social sites and forums.

5) Get views and people to interact with your videos (likes, comments, subscribers etc).

So why bother with YouTube?

More and more video is being consumed each year and as people become completely addicted to their iPads, iPhones, tablets and other mobile devices people are now watching YouTube videos on all sorts of devices too.

Now the downside to creating videos for YouTube is that they take a lot more time and effort than it does to write an article but there's also a huge advantage to this... and it's that since it takes more work to make videos far fewer people are willing to actually do it and as a result there is MUCH less competition in the YouTube search than there is in the Google search.

Compare for example the keyword 'How To Build Backlinks' which has over 7 million results turning up in Google:

In Youtube? That number is only 60,000:

Hell I created a video that's only been up for about a week now and it's already on the first page of YouTube for that keyword:

And that video has directly resulted already in a few people signing up to Screw95. And at $97 a pop that's not too bad for a video that still has less than 1,000 views.

But that video will be around accumulating views for as long as YouTube is around. And so will all of my other videos.

But it's not JUST about the 'YouTube search' traffic...

Because on top of this if you do it right you'll also find your videos starting to pop up in the related videos lists on other niche related videos like this:

And you can get a LOT of views from the 'related videos' section.

Just think about how many times you've gone to YouTube to watch one video and have then seen another interesting video in the related videos section and clicked it... only to watch another and another and before you know it you've just watched 10 different videos.

People do this all the time and making YouTube videos allows you to tap into this traffic.

And to make your videos POP so that lots of people click them after seeing them in the 'related videos' you can add awesome and eye catching thumbnail images that will allow you to stand out. It used to be that only YouTube partners could do this but these days anyone can do it. You simply have to enable 'monetization' on your account (you don't actually have to add ads to your videos though) and you are good to go.

You don't need millions of views to make good money...

Lets say you have 100 videos that only get 20 views a day. That's adds up to a cool 2,000 views a day. And lets say that just three of those 2,000 people that watch your videos every day end up buying something where you get a $35 commission... that's over $100/day right there.

And good videos convert EXTREMELY well. There's something about the medium of video that allows you to cut through the clutter and stand out. I can't tell you how many times I've had people mention to me that they found my LazyAssStoner.com site (and the Screw95 course) from finding my videos on YouTube and enjoying seeing someone just sit in front of a camera and give them 'straight talk' about how to do things.

There's a certain element of trust and authenticity that you get from watching someone reviewing a product or explaining how to do something on YouTube that's hard to match in a simple article. And creating a great and converting YouTube video can be as simple as reviewing products and talking about them to the camera as if you were telling a friend 'what you think is cool' about that product.... no hard selling necessary.

And what's also cool about YouTube is that you can now integrate external links to your videos. Have you noticed how I've started to say at the end of my YouTube videos 'and if you want to learn more to you can check out here to get my free crash course' or whatever? And then it takes them to an opt in page where they join my list? And then puts them on an autoresponder sequence promoting my blog posts, the Screw95 course and a bunch of my other videos helping them to get more interactions and increase in their rankings EVEN more?

So if you are reviewing products you can say 'want a discount? click here!' or if you want to get them on your mailing list you can say 'get your free guide to xxx' by clicking here!.

And if you make your videos informative and interesting people WILL click that link at the end and they WILL buy stuff that you have to sell them.

So what do you need to get started on YouTube?

Well a cheap camera is really all you need.

Ideally you would want to get a good microphone and some lighting eventually (as I've wound up doing) but to start out you really just need a cheap camera that'll cost you a couple hundred bucks or so.

But what if you don't want to show your face on YouTube?

I have channels for some of my sites where I don't even show my face. I simply write a short script. Record it on a mic and then accompany that with some music and niche related stock images or videos. This still works extremely well.

But I don't know how to edit videos?

Learn! It's really not that hard I promise. Hell all Windows machines come with 'Windows Movie Maker' free these days and that thing is extremely easy to use. You literally just cut your clips here and there, string them all together and then BAM you have a video.

Should I buy views?

I know a lot of people do but I don't. I figure that Google is smart enough to tell a real user from a fake user (they can easily see if that person has an active plus account, has uploaded videos and watched other videos etc) but even if they can't tell yet they probably will eventually. And I want my videos to stay up long term.

Besides I have no problems getting my videos ranked without having to resort to buying views.

Other reasons to create videos?

  • You can rank for your keyword in BOTH Google AND YouTube.
  • Embedding your videos on to your sites keeps people on your site for longer which Google likes to see which helps with your SEO.
  • People love to share videos and will often re-share them on social networks, forums and on other sites.
  • Videos are where the internet is heading!

Plus:

If you already have an SEO site that's getting traffic you have a massive advantage and will have a much easier time getting your YouTube channel off the ground.

Just make videos based around your pages that are getting a lot of visitors and embed them into those pages and then you'll start to get views, comments, interactions and all that good stuff that'll start to get that video ranking on it's own... easy!

If you've got a page that's ranking for 'Garden Ornaments' you could make a video 'The 10 Coolest Ever Garden Ornaments!' or something along those lines and just embed it to your page and over time that video should start to rank for 'Garden Ornaments' in YouTube.

Final Thoughts...

YouTube is so much more than a place to host your videos. It's a community just like Facebook is. People 'subscribe' to channels they are interested in and then whenever your subscribers are logged in (which since it's the same account people use for plus, gmail etc they almost always are) your videos appear more prominently and people are able to constantly check back on your new vids and follow your progress.

It's not like Television where everything needs to be super professional and shot with thousand dollar equipment. It's about being real, showing your personality, letting people get to know you (and hopefully addicted) to you. Look at almost any successful YouTube channel and you'll see their first videos are shot on shitty cameras, often in the dark and the person feels totally uncomfortable on camera... that doesn't matter at all. In fact people enjoy following your progress from "I have no idea what I am doing" to becoming YouTube famous.

These days there are thousands of young kids making a FULL TIME living just off of the tube. Literally all they do is make videos about their lives or of their cats or whatever and live off that.

And if they can do that with absolutely zero marketing experience... think about what us guys with SEO/marketing/affiliate knowledge can pull off ;)

So stop putting YouTube off and build yourself up a damn channel already!

YouTube Video Marketing Explained

How To Make $$$ By Reviewing Stuff On YouTube

What’s uuuuuup?

So lately I’ve been getting into ‘reviewing’ stuff on YouTube (and on my niche sites) to make $ and I thought I’d make a tutorial to show you how I’m doing it.

I’ve been setting up channels where I personally review all sorts of gear in all sorts of niches (both physical and digital products) and I’ve even been branching out to work with other YouTubers to help them to start up review channels too… and basically what I’m finding is that this simple approach can be extremely profitable if you’re willing to put the time and effort into doing it properly.

And I’m not talking about those terrible review sites with the stock graphics and poorly worded articles that have probably just been copy pasted straight off the Amazon site.

I’m talking about actually buying the products, trying them and doing a real video review on YouTube along with a blog post with actual footage of the product in action.

But why am I taking all of this extra effort to buy the products and to make video reviews as opposed to just using stock images and articles?

Two reasons:

  • They convert insanely well. Nothing beats a real review where you can actually see that the person really has bought and tried the product and as a result these types of videos convert extremely well… even for higher end products costing $500+ allowing you to get $50 commissions, $100 commissions and even higher.

  • The competition is next to nil. So few people are actually willing to step away from their computer for a moment to properly review a product and then go on camera that it means that those who ARE willing to put in the effort are able to rank and bank with ease.
Examples...

Before I get into the ‘how to’ portion of this post though here's a quick example of how profitable these videos can be.

The following is an income shot I just grabbed that comes from just ONE review video of a physical product that has nothing to do with the 'internet marketing' niche:

As you can see the commissions are nice and healthy, they're regular and it just comes in on autopilot once the video is up and ranking.

And when you consider that I've got dozens of videos like this in all sorts of niches it starts to add up pretty quickly.

Now I can't give you the niche or show you the video for most of these because like I said - these keywords are so low in competition that it'd be stupid for me to 'out' them.

But here's an example that you CAN see.

Some of you guys might remember that I reviewed Lukes tool ‘FPTraffic’ on my 'Lazy Ass Stoner' channel a while back which is a tool that I’ve been using to grow and automate my Facebook pages. I basically just put together a video where I talked about how I was using FPTraffic and what I liked about it and towards the end I give out my affiliate link.

And basically this review video now ranks in the top spots of YouTube for things like 'FPTraffic', 'FPTraffic Review' and even things like 'get more Facebook Fans', 'How To Get More Facebook Fans' and so on:

Towards the end of the video I give the watcher my affiliate link and as a result I've been making autopilot income every month since I put the video out... without doing ANY extra promotions.

Here's a screenshot:

And because this product is recurring and because people choose to stay signed up my earnings month to month tend to grow without doing anything extra.

And you really can do this in basically any niche you want. You can do it with physical products, with software, with tools, courses… whatever.

Anyway let’s get to the ‘tutorial’ portion of this post.

Step 1) Choosing A Niche/Keywords

The very first thing you’ll want to do is choose yourself a niche. Your channel should all be based around one ‘main’ niche/type of product.

And the way in which I find ‘review’ keywords to target is the same way that I find keywords to target in the Google search results – by using the good old Google Keyword Planner.

Generally speaking if people search for something in Google they also search for it in Youtube.

So for example if I was to set up a review channel in the ‘cooking/kitchen’ niche I could target something like this:

As you can ‘Bakerstone Pizza Oven Review’ gets a total of 320 searches/month.

But when we look at the competition levels in YouTube we can see that the competition is basically non existent with just 219 results in total turning up and not one of them is targeting ‘Bakerstone Pizza Oven Review’ in their titles:

I’ll say it again. That’s 219 results. Not 219,000… not even a 1,000. Its 292 videos in the entire world and most of those videos still aren’t even targeting this keyword.

What’s also cool too is that by doing this can also go after the product keyword itself which in this example is ‘Bakerstone Pizza Oven’ which gets 480 searches/month and again this keyword still only has 393 results in YouTube…

This really is the definition of ‘low competition’.

Here’s another example. Let’s say you have a beauty/style type channel.

After taking a very quick squiz at the Google Keyword Planner I was able to find the keyword ‘Muk Hair Straightener Review’:

As you can see this keyword gets approximately 170 searches/month but as you can see in YouTube there’s only 283 results turning up and only one of the results even seems to have the word ‘review’ in their title:

And again if I search for the main product itself even without ‘review’ on the end of it (‘Muk Hair Straightener’) then that keyword gets another 1,000 searches/month… and it still only comes up with 185 results in YouTube and MOST of the results that do show up aren’t even targeting ‘Muk Hair Straightener’:

Hopefully you’re starting to see what I’m getting at. These keywords are obscenely easy to rank for.

But let’s do one more example and this time of a ‘digital product’. Digital products are great too because often they have higher commissions and you don’t even have to wait for the product to ship or anything like that.

Let’s say I did a ‘VPN Review’ channel where I reviewed VPN services. VPNs are basically programs that allow you to change your IP so that you can do things like watch that are only available to a certain country regardless of where you are in the world.

After a very quick search I found this keyword ‘Astrill VPN Review’ which gets 590 searches a month and it’s got an affiliate program that pays out 10%-25%.

And best of all it has next to no competition in YouTube:

It’s got a measly 431 results and only the very first two videos even include ‘Astrill VPN Review’ in their title. If I wasn’t already so busy I’d probably even go after this keyword myself!

Then what’s really cool too is once you’ve got your channel built a bit you can also start to target keywords like:

‘X vs Y’ Keywords: You’ll be amazed at how many people search for direct product comparisons like ‘Coke vs Pepsi’ and it’s ridiculous how little competition these keywords often have. Once you have already reviewed a few products on your channel you can then start to tackle some of these ‘x vs y’ keywords too without even having to buy the products (since you’ve already got them).

Furthermore because you already have done the research on each product and have already tested them out these sort of videos take about half the time that a regular review video would take.

For example if I go back to my style/hair straightener example I could target something like ‘Cloud 9 VS GHD’ – two popular and high end hair straighteners:

This keyword gets 390/searches a month and although it has a little bit more competition in YouTube with 1,020 results it’s still pretty barren with only a few results actually targeting the keyword:

And since both of these are $300 straighteners which ever one people buy you will make a healthy commission. Find a decent affiliate program that pays out 15% and you’re making close to $50/sale.

These ‘vs’ keywords exist in basically every single niche and hardly anyone is targeting them (even in Google a lot of the time!).

For example with the VPN example I could target something like this:

IPVanish and HideMyAss are two different VPNs and if you’ve already tried them both then putting together a simple ‘side by side’ comparison of the two VPNS is super easy and as you can in the pic below… the competition is basically non-existent:

Again the competition is non-existent with only 363 results turning up in ALL of YouTube.

‘Best X’ Keywords: This is another cool and easy one to do especially once you’ve already got a review up.

Just head to the Google Keyword Planner and do a search for ‘best your niche’ and you’ll find a slew of other cool keywords that you can target:

So for example I could target something like ‘Best Hair Straightener For Thick Curly Hair’ which gets 140 searches/month and whaddaya know it has basically no competition:

Again these are easy to make after you've reviewed a few things already because you'll already have a good idea of which product really is 'the best' in each different type of category that's being searched for.

You could target all sorts of these keywords. ‘Best Ceramic Hair Straightener’, ‘Best Hair Straightener For Thick Hair’… the list goes on.

And basically if you get a bit creative then you can find and tackle these super low competition keywords aaaaaall day long.

Step 2) Making Your Videos

I’m not going to get into the ‘nuts and bolts’ of video editing otherwise this post would turn into a novel and there are already a TONNE of free tutorials out there as well as on YouTube about how to use video editing software.

You don’t need to use anything fancy. Hell you can use Windows Movie Maker if you want too.

Personally I use Adobe Premiere Pro just because I’m a big fan of the whole Adobe suite and just like the way they all work together but you can do this in anything.

What’s more important than the software you use is things like targeting keywords, being authentic and things like eye catching thumbnails.

Don’t worry though I’ve got you covered…

Scripting / Preparation...

The very first thing you want to do is simply buy the product and play around with it. Make notes about what you do and don’t like about the product as you use it. If there are downsides/things you don’t like about the product don’t be afraid to add them because it will make your video seem a lot more genuine which will result in more trust and ultimately more conversions.

You don’t have to write an entire word for word script or anything like that but in my experience your video will come out waaaay better if you do a little bit of preparation first and actually figure out roughly what points you are going to cover and address rather than trying to ‘wing it’ on the spot.

Recording Your Videos...

Grab your notes and a camera and start yapping away about what you did and didn’t like about the product.

Just keep it simple. Pretend like you are talking to a friend and are explaining what you did and didn’t like about something and it’ll make it seem a lot easier. And remember this is YouTube – not TV. You don’t need to be ‘corporate’, you don’t need to ‘hard sell’… just be genuine and real and don’t worry too much if you stuff up a word or about getting absolutely everything 100% perfect.

Alternatively if you are camera shy then you can shoot a bunch of ‘up close’ footage of the product being used and then simply record a voiceover later.

With digital products you can just record your screen while you use product using something like Camtasia and then talk over the top of it.

Audio quality is much more important than video quality though. If people can’t understand what you are saying then they’ll never buy what you are selling so if you can – try to pick up a decent microphone.

Basically any microphone is better than the shitty ones that come in built with cameras – personally I use and recommend the Blue Yeti which you can pick up for about $150. I know A LOT of other Youtubers that use this exact microphone too and it really will give you 100x better quality than a camera microphone will.

Then at the very end of each video you want to give two call to actions: one to buy the product that you are promoting and one asking the viewer to subscribe.

So you can say something like this:

“To find out where you can buy yourself GHD hair straightener at the cheapest price online then click here to check out my blog where I’ve put up links the absolute cheapest places to buy authentic GHD hair straighteners online. And for more cool videos don’t forget to hit the subscribe button!”

Cutting/Editing your videos...

As I mentioned before I’m not going to get into exactly how to edit a video (it’s not that hard… just pick a video editing program and play with it until you get the hang of it).

However I do have a couple of pointers that should make your videos more successful:

  • Use jump cuts. This is basically what every popular YouTuber does and all it means is cutting out the boring bits, the ‘umms’ and ‘aaaahs’, the long silences etc. Nobody wants to watch a 30 minute video just because you were too lazy to cut out the unnecessary bits. Nobody wants to watch you yawning. Keep it short, to the point and remember people have ADD attention spans these days. This will in turn increase your average viewer duration (aka: how far into your videos people are watching) which will then increase your YouTube rankings. If you’re audience retention is under 50% (you can check this in your YouTube analytics) then you probably need to make your videos shorter and more ‘to the point’.

  • Add background music to keep the ‘pace’ of your videos up. I add background music to just about every video that I make no matter what niche it’s in and it really helps to add a bit of ‘pace’ to your videos and to make them more interesting and engaging. You can find free royalty free tracks that you can use in the YouTube Audio Library or paid ones over at AudioJungle.net.

Step 3) Optimizing Your Videos

Once you’ve got your first video rendered it’s time to upload the video and to optimize it so that it ranks in not only YouTube but hopefully inside of Google too.

And luckily this isn’t too hard to do. We just need to make sure that we do a few things:

Optimizing Your Videos For Your Keywords: This is super easy to do. Basically just make sure that you include your keyword in your title, your tags and your description:

Also try to make your title catchy, your description at least 200 words and add any other related keywords that you can find in the Keyword Planner tool to your tags section.

Create A Custom YouTube Thumbnail: The more eye catching your thumbnail is the more traffic you’ll get. It’s the first thing people notice when they search for videos or look in the related videos section so custom thumbnails are a must for every video otherwise YouTube will just pick a random segment of your video and show that as your thumbnail which is the last thing we want!

If it's a physical products you can just take a photo of the product itself. Put the product against a nice background and just snap a pic. But if it's a digital product you can hit up sites like PhotoDune.net or GraphicRiver.net (these are paid sites but you can also use free royalty free image sites too) and search for a picture that's related to your niche.

For the VPN example I could search for 'privacy' and find something like this:

Then when you've got your picture take it over to your favorite image editing program (I use Photoshop though you can use Gimp or any other photo editing software you like) and then just add some text to it to make it pop:

The ideal size for thumbnails is 1280 x 720 pixels.

Annotations & Cards: The last thing that we need to do before we can publish our video is to add annotations and cards to the video. These are basically those links that you see over the top of videos that people can click on to go to another site.

And basically we want to use 'annotations' and 'cards' to link back to our website where our affiliate links are.

Before you'll be able to use these features you'll need to make sure that you have associated your website with your YouTube account which you can do by going to the 'Creator Studio' section on YouTube and then to 'Channel' and then 'Advanced':

Once you've got your site linked to your YouTube account you'll then be able to add annotations and cards back to your site at the point where you say "and if you'd like to buy this than click here etc" that link back to your blog post post about that particular product.

And you also want to include a ‘Subscribe’ annotation at the point where you ask your viewer to subscribe. You’ll be amazed at how many people will actually click through to your website or subscribe to your channel just because you asked them too.

Then once you’ve done all of that just publish your video!

Step 4) ‘Promoting’ Your Videos

Once you’re videos are finished and uploaded the hardest bit is over.

If you pick your keywords well then often you’ll find yourself ranking on the first page of Google literally minutes after pressing the ‘publish’ button. Hard to believe when you are used to the longer wait of SEO but it’s definitely possible and by no means uncommon. 9 times out of 10 your video will appear somewhere on the first few pages of YouTube for your keyword within literally minutes.

However with a bit of promotion we can really kick off our videos helping us to truly cement our rankings.

By giving a bit of a ‘push’ to our videos we can drive some initial views, comments and likes to them all of which will help to ‘launch’ your videos getting them ranked even higher and helping them to turn up in the ‘related videos’ section of YouTube.

And the main way that I do this is simple – I use social networks.

For every channel/site that I build I set up a Facebook, a Twitter, a Pinterest, a Google+, a Reddit, and and then I use these accounts to promote my videos.

Now I’m not going to get into exactly how I use eeevery site because I’ve already posted guides on most of these sites but you can check some tutorials I've posted in the past on the Fix about how I do this:

Tumblr Guide: A posted this a while back and this technique still works like crazy and it’s particularly powerful for sharing out videos. Just set up a niche related tumblr, start to follow niche related people, start posting your videos and so long as your videos don’t totally suck ass you WILL get reblogs, likes, views, comments and subscribers.

Pinterest Guide: In this guide I show you how I build up my Pinterest accounts and promote my videos with them. Pinterest is also allows you to post and share out your videos in much the same way.

Reddit Guide: Reddit is definitely a little bit trickier as these guys marketing radar is higher but still totally, totally worth doing if you do it right and a single good submission can literally kickstart a channel from 0 to 100 subscribers in a day.

These three alone are enough to get your channel rolling but if you want to give it some extra juice I’d also recommend also hitting up Facebook & Google+ groups. There are groups on these social networks for just about every niche in existence and sharing your videos inside of these groups is a super easy way to get traction.

You’ll be amazed though at how little social promotions you need to do to get your videos ranking though. Just do enough to get a few eyes on your videos and Youtube will then do the rest!

Misc Tips ‘n’ Tricks…

Before I finish – here are a few more tips and tricks that’ll help you to make even more money…

  • If a product sucks – you don’t have lie and say that it’s good to make $. If something sucks just simply refer them to another one of your videos where you reviewed a similar product that’s actually good. It’s as simple as saying something like ‘at the end of the day though the X just isn’t as good as the Y which I reviewed a while back. You can check that out by clicking here.’

  • Don’t be afraid to target high value products. It takes around the same amount of work to make a video for a $10 product as it does for a $500 product. But with a $500 product you’ll be getting much, much higher commissions. Lower priced products are still a good way to ‘get your feet wet’ and to start making your first few bucks but ultimately I’d recommend re-investing the money that you make on the lower priced products into higher and higher ones if you can because this will send your earnings up exponentially.

  • Coupons / exclusive discounts work great if you can get them. Some affiliate programs will offer custom affiliate coupons that you can use so that every time someone uses one you get a commission. Some programs might not have this option automatically but if you email them nicely they may be willing to hook you up with a custom coupon. Then simply give the coupon code towards the end of the video and your viewers will dig it that they get a discount and buy, buy, buy.

That’s A Wrap…

This post has gotten pretty long now so I'm going to wrap it up but feel free to ask your questions below and I’ll try to answer them for you guys!

How To Collect Email List

3 Powerful Ways to Bank While You Build A List!

This guide will show you 3 amazing unique techniques to bank from building an email opt in list.

The List

Who doesn't like to kill two birds with one stone?

Well today I'm going to show you a simple way that you can build up an email list of your own whilst also banking at the same time.

Now as you might already be aware one of the absolute best ways to get people to sign up to your email list is to bribe them with a freebie that they will really want.

And the better the freebie the more people that will opt in.

So below I'm going to show you three types of freebies that you can offer that will ALSO make you money at the same time so that you can build up a huge list and bank hard at the same time!

The Email Submit Freebie

One way that you can offer people something cool for free whilst making money at the same time is to promote an email submit offer like the ones seen below:

So lets say that you have a website that's all about “Running Shoes”.

You could say something along the lines of “Join our newsletter for your chance to score a free pair of Nike Womens sports shoes!”.

Then after they sign up redirect them to an email submit offer like the one below:

This typically will convert extremely well.

The CPA Free Trial

Another way that you can go about it is by promoting a 'Free Trial' CPA offer. These offers tend to have enormous payouts and also convert really well.

So lets say that you have a website about “Electronic Cigarettes”.

You could say something like “Limited Offer: Get Your Free Electronic Cigarette Trial Here!”.

Then after they've entered their email you could redirect them to an offer like this one:

The Watered Down eBook

Now the third way that you can do this is by creating a short and to the point eBook that's related to your niche that promotes a more comprehensive and paid offer or eBook.

So lets say you have a website about "Horse Racing Betting Systems".

You could say something along the lines of “Get our 10 insider strategies to winning on the horses!” and then you could send them a short PDF where you outline a few great horse racing betting strategies that will leave them wanting more. You also want to hint at an even more powerful strategy throughout the eBook and link them paid course or guide like the following ClickBank product:

And if you don't want to write the free eBook yourself then you don't even have to. Often product owners will be willing to give you a free copy of their product that you can strip down and take some of the best bits to create a shorter free PDF 'sample' that you can give away.

Make Your CPA Campaign Profitable!

Hello all, this is my first case study on affiliatefix forum and to be honest with you I have never thought it would go this way. Just a month ago I have joined this forum and started my CPA journey and already have some pretty good profitable campaigns which is making me some good money(good for a newbie ;) ).

What it takes to get a profitable campaign:-
CPA is huge industry and there is no limit on the amount you can make. But again it isn’t that easy as everybody might think it to be. Profitable campaigns are not got by chance/luck; it’s made by hard work, creativity and optimization.

  1. Make your choice first about which type of CPA offers you going to jump into. Every type of offers has different traffic source and way of promotion. So sticking to one would be your best deal.
  2. Choosing your vertical. That’s one of the most crucial part. Do some research before you make up your choices.
  3. Every traffic source has its pros and cons. One vertical can perform incredibly well while the other can go terribly bad. Also do some research on your traffic source demographics, to get more information about your visitors and to choose the right offer to promote for them.
  4. Choosing the right offer:- You can have multiple variations of similar offer from same network or other network, just grab as much details as you can from your AM like CR, EPC of the network and the top publisher who are banking huge.
  5. Direct linking/ Landing pages:- I would say landing pages. But you can test both.

Type of CPA offers:-
It’s the normal web CPA offers which I am going to stick at the moment.

Verticals:-
There are plenty of verticals but I will stick to the evergreen vertical of all time which is dating/adult.
Why dating/adult:- Plenty of traffic source, plenty of options, huge volume and huge number of angles to test as a starter.

Offers:-
They are pretty much same on all the network. Only focusing on offers with good landing page and CR (stats I get from my AM)

Traffic Source:-
There are huge amount of adult traffic source listed on affiliatefix forum.
For my case study I have particularly used 2 traffic source adxpansion and exoclick. Both have CPM/CPC banner advertisement option.

Campaigns:-
So for my casestudy, I have chosen adult/dating vertical. I have chosen few offers from 2 networks to split test. Now, since I have my offers and traffic source ready, I moved on to my next phase which is creating angles and getting creative with it. I then created 2-3 variations of landing pages for each angle (tested 4 so far) along with banners.

Lastly, uploaded everything to my server. Created campaigns and waited for approval.
Once the traffic starts flowing and getting conversions, I got to know which angles I should stick with and which angles I should kick out.
Day 1 Looks like this:-
[IMG]
Day 2 Looks Like this:-
[IMG]
Now I have enough data to optimize my campaigns. So I kept all high converting landing pages and banners and eliminated the rest. I am left with just 2 angles, out of 4. After optimization is completed, I started driving more volume and tried to scale it up by targeting more countries supported by my offers.
Stats for next 7 days after optimization:-
[IMG]

My overall stats from day 1 till now:-
[IMG]

My total income from CPA network:-
[IMG]

Lading Page:-
Try to keep it simple; don’t try out to much fancy thing. I have used simple 2-3 question & answer landing page I have found on affiliatefix forum here by keyman. I have just changed the background color, content and the images to match my angles. Later down the road, I have added geo location to my landing page to increase the conversion ratio.

Banners:-
Simple static banner worked out for me.
Good girls image, strong headline including your angle and strong CTA.

Easy strategy to get a profitable campaign:-
This has happened with me and now i know it happens with pretty much everybody, so I will share it. It’s very common in CPA. While I was testing and found my winning banner, landing page combo, I realized that my banners and landing pages are stolen by my competitors and they are running it on different traffic source. So, I got a bit pissed and tried the same with them.
I followed them on other traffic source, monitored them for a week and found their winning banner and landing pages for the same campaign and other campaigns too. Set up campaign on my end and got some results. I then tried my own angles to the same offer and got better conversion ratio(by more than 1%).
Note:- While spying do take a note of the banner and the associated landing page with date. Monitor for at least a week. Keep all the data in a spreadsheet, after a week you can pretty simply figure out their winning banner and landing page.
Tough it’s the easiest way to get a profitable campaign for free but I still prefer to do it the way I have started from scratch.

Scale up:-
While scaling up, try same angles on different countries with different languages. Get your content translated by someone native. If your offer supports mobile, try mobile traffic too.
I have scaled this campaign to 2 more countries and trying out 5 more countries, still need to optimize them but ROI is positive so far. I am also working on making my landing pages for mobile.

Conclusion:-
One angle might work well, in one country, but the same cannot be taken granted for other countries.
The ROI and campaign conversion rate depends on the angle, landing page, banner’s and most importantly the offer you have selected. I tested 2 similar offers , targeting same country and from same network but different advertisers. One converted at around 6% and another below 2%. So the offer has played a big role in the overall conversion ratio of the campaign.

To sum it up:- Profitable campaigns = Perfect Angle X Perfect offer X Perfect landing page X Perfect banner (Variables listed as per importance one after another based on my case study so far).

Spy Profitable CPA Campaigns Using SimilarWeb

I want to show you a Free Tool and tell you about how I use it to create high ROI campaigns.

Technically it’s a „spy-tool“ but it actually is much more than that. We should all know that spying is not only about ripping banners and landers.

Instead you should try to uncover sources of traffic that you didn’t know before.

This tool is perfect for that but not only that. It actually is something like spying on steroids.

You can find information like:

  • How much traffic is in a certain GEO?
  • Who are the biggest pubs on a traffic source?
  • Which sources of traffic convert with a certain offer?
  • Who is sending the most traffic to an offer?
  • What’s their strategy for buying media?
Questions that you would love to ask at networking events but people would never answer. This Tool that can give you answers to these questions. The tool I’m talking about is http://www.similarweb.com.

You can use Similarweb in a couple different ways.

You can analyze traffic sources. As an example you can take the referral link of a traffic source and paste it into SimilarWeb.

You’ll see how much traffic there is. How much traffic in a certain GEO. Who are the biggest publishers on the traffic sources and so on.

You can research offers. Just paste the offer link into SimilarWeb to see which traffic sources work best for that offer, who is sending the most traffic, which GEOs work best for the offer etc.

You can also research publishers. Paste the tracking domain to see which creatives they use, where they buy their traffic and uncover their strategy for buying media.

Here’s an example: I took an offer and pasted the offer domain into SimilarWeb.

If you see an increase like that it means you probably should jump on that offer because it’s blowing up.

You’ll also see things like estimated traffic and the bounce rate. Looking at the bounce rate you can conclude the CVR a little bit. It won’t be too accurate but it’s a good indicator.

Similarweb is also giving you a visual Geo breakdown. Obviously this was a DE offer.

This is more useful for multi geo offers because it’ll show you the strongest GEOs for that offer.

Scrolling down a bit more it gets really interesting.

You’ll see the top referring sites/publishers.

I blurred them out here because I don’t want to out anyone’s domains.

You can also click them and see their breakdowns individually.

Scrolling down some more you’ll see the sites and the traffic sources generating the most traffic.

On the left side you’ll see the sites on which this offer is being promoted. Then you can do your research on who’s selling traffic from these sites.

On the right side you’ll see the traffic sources / ad networks with a traffic breakdown.

You can also click the ‚Show the Ads‘ button to see some creatives. If you’re just looking for creatives I would recommend other spy tools though.

Here’s a Pro Tip:
I researched a bunch of offers, publishers and traffic sources. Then I put all the information I found into a big spreadsheet.

Especially all the traffic sources I wasn’t working with before. So then I had a bunch of new traffic sources. And because it’s a lot of work to contact them all one by one I hired a VA to do this for me.

I had him sign up for accounts, contact them via email and talk to reps on Skype to get the information I needed.

So I had my accounts set up, got a new spreadsheet with the contacts of the reps, an inventory report with a breakdown of their traffic and often some tips and tricks on how to run on the sources / how to use the platform given by the traffic reps.

All I had to do now was fund and create some campaigns to start testing.

It’s a really powerful way to create high ROI campaigns and make a lot of money.

Conclusion:

Use it to do your market research.

Use it to find untapped sources and use it to analyze these sources. That way you don’t have to test blindly.

Basically what you can do with SimilarWeb is analyze and use the data of other people for free.

It’ll save and make you a ton of money

Use it also to find untapped markets, different GEOs and verticals that you haven’t tried before. Use the data to create highly profitable campaigns.

I don’t know where you guys stand with your business but if you’re a little tight on budget it’s the perfect way to create high ROI campaigns that you need to build up your budget.

Use SimilarWeb to strategize your testing and scaling. It’s very important to have a good strategy and keep your focus especially when scaling campaigns.

Don’t be lazy, analyze your markets, make that spreadsheet and really dig deep in the data. Cause trust me on that.

YOU WILL MAKE ALOT OF MONEY IF YOU USE THIS
